I HAVE to post some of the great (and quite hilarious) photos of my 21^st birthday asap! It was so much fun and we must have taken a million photos. I wore the cutest black dress with some amazing gold sparkling pumps. I hope I can find an excuse to wear the pumps again some time soon!!

Anyway, there’s no way they are getting posted very soon because I am in Louisville, Kentucky! The Associated College Press National College Media Conference is taking place this week and I am in attendance! Kentucky is actually really beautiful and Louisville is pretty culturally thick.

I am attending a session this week called “How to Make Your Blog (and subsequently yourself) Popular” and some other broadcasting courses that I am pretty excited about.

            I can not wait to start my senior project! I did my THIRTEEN PAGE          (!!!) show treatment for my presentation of my documentary today. It is very detailed, though so it sort of forced me to make some decisions about the project, and I think this organized document will be helpful later on. Once the documentary gets rolling, I will blog about the organization I am profiling. They are a really great group and I am so stoked to make this film.

My friend Sara and I did some shopping tonight and went in search of a dress for me to wear next Friday for my 21^st birthday bash! J I think I have found the perfect one, photos of the event will ensue!

P.S. This outfit is SO comfortable. This dress is probably the comfiest thing I own.

            I have decided that I am going to operate within my circle of influence this year, and not in my circle of concern. I’m reading this book “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” for my senior seminar class and it has had a very powerful effective on me. Recognizing that you just can’t control everything and everyone has proven a real positive outlook for my life. I always try to do everything myself and I allow the things that other people say/do to fester in me until it causes a real problem.

            Now, I’m a big believer in only worrying myself with the things that I can change myself. If not, then it’s out of my life as fast as it came in! Anyway, here is the broadcast that we taped this week! Check it out if you have the time. J

Hiatus…

I have been a terrible blogger as of late! Every moment of every day has just been uber exhausting and I hate that I don’t have time to blog properly because I truly love it. I am going to get back to it ASAP. I found my camera(which was missing!!) so I can capture my outfits….I have had some pretty cute and creative compilations lately and I wish I could have shown them to everyone!! L But, on the bright side, IT IS FALL!!! Yeah!

I never thought I would say this, but Florida has got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world right now! It’s been in the upper 50’s in the morning and the 70’s all day! Gorgeous!! So, now I'm jacked for knee high boots, tights, and scarves! Yess...

Pitiful…

I’m actually getting a chance to blog again today because I am sick like nobody’s business. I’ve been tossing my cookies since around 6am…hopefully I’m on the downturn of it now..because I really don’t have time to be sick.

Anyway, Saturday Brian and I went to the diner as promised and got to have the most delicious breakfast (which sort of makes me sick when I think about it right now so I can’t go into too much detail.) However, you should just know..Metro Diner is wonderful.

We went to the Riverside Arts Market after to peruse the arts and crafts and then went into the most wonderful thrift stores!! It was so awesome..we had a blast and I played dress up in the vintage clothing area….haha I wish I would’ve been born in the 50’s so I could always dress like this. 

Alas, it’s still full swing summer here in the 80’s and 90’s. I can’t wait for cooler weather! I want coats!!

Good Life…

I miss blogging everyday….it really is fun….Oh well, I’ll get back to it when I graduate but for now I’ll indulge in my one opportunity to blog for the next week.

I saw Easy A with Brian tonight. It was amazing and I loved it! Emma Stone is so refreshing as an actress, I might possibly love her. J

We’re going to see Sara at the diner tomorrow…I haven’t been there since she started working and its so yummy so I’m glad we’re going. Then I think we are paying a visit to the Riverside Arts Market! I am so stoked. I read an article in the Folio about this vendor that serves amazingly fresh pastries inspired by all the places around the world the baker has lived. J I have a feeling I’ll be a little stuffed….

Anyway, this outfit is from yesterday. I had class all day and these from Modcloth actually didn’t prove very comfy. I was going to my internship after class so I try to dress somewhat professional. I’ll have to invest in some Dr. Scholl’s.

Overwhelmed

I am a terrible blogger! I keep apologizing to myself for not blogging but I have never been so busy and overwhelmed in my entire life. Apparently senior year is trying to kill me.  Anyway, these are just a few photos of my thrifting with Brian the other day…it was so much fun! Riverside has so many great vintage stores! 

This coat is amazing...but a little inappropriate for FL..:(
